When I first started blogging, I only did it as an online personal journal. I remember the first time I ever got a comment….it was such a great feeling. After all, I was only using the blog as a medium to explore my creative writing. I didn’t know the power blogging had! Since then, I have evolved as a blogger. There are times when I blog because I am passionate to do so, but I will not deny that there are times that I blog to serve a more practical purpose. Whatever one’s reasons or goals for blogging, however, it would be nice to have people read them, right? Getting people to read your blog can be a little difficult at first, mainly while you’re starting out. At least that’s been my experience. For me, I think three things are important in getting people to come back and visit your blog more often. First is to come up with quality posts. Whether it is about a personal experience or a paid post, keeping it interesting lets people come back, or so I’d like to think! Secondly is to promote your posts. By updating your FaceBook and Twitter also increases readership. Lastly, joining link exchanges, blog directories and blogger communities can be a good way to get your blog around the world wide web. With that said, I am hoping that this new blog of mine gets included in the latest BC Blogger’s List! You can give it a try too!
Calling all bloggers who want to gain friends in the blogosphere and build links at the same time – BC Bloggers 3 is now open. To join just visit Mommy Diary, read the requirements, and fill out the Application Form.
